Tactics:

At the time Continuous Data Protection was a new technology and it benefits were not generally understood. Early industry players used time machine imagery that did not connect the technology benefits to customer problems. Neither did it differentiate the products from common data backup products.

This image was designed to simplify the key benefit of CDP technology so it could be understood in seconds.

Prior to this image it took a lot of words to explain the technology benefit — too many for casual readers. A static image was used because at the time animation was expensive. Additionally, video would have limited the message to select media.

 

Format:

4 panel cartoon image that could be use in print, post cards and on the web. Elements of the cartoon were used as teasers in web banner adverts.
